The School of Yoga Sequencing is the brainchild of Hayley Winter, founder of the Institute of Yoga Sports Science® (YSS), and Annelize Ferreira, YSS Consultant Physiotherapist. Together, they’ve built the first continuing education school of its kind in the yoga world - backed by research and designed to provide practical, real-world solutions to the sequencing challenges modern yoga teachers face every day.

Our courses give yoga teachers the creative freedom to develop their sequencing skills by blending the science of movement with the simple power of art—brought to life through our unique Sequencing Playbooks. I’m Hayley Winter, co-founder of The School of Yoga Sequencing and founder of the Institute of Yoga Sports Science® (YSS). For nearly 30 years, I’ve been a dedicated yoga educator and yoga sports scientist, specializing in sports-specific yoga, biomechanics, and movement science. My passion lies in providing advanced teacher training and continuing education that bridges tradition with innovation.
With a background in both art (Animation degree) and science (Master’s in Sports and Exercise Biomechanics), I bring a unique perspective to yoga education. My approach to sequencing is deeply rooted in years of drawing and analyzing movement—frame by frame—combining creativity with precision to develop effective, science-based teaching methods.
At The School of Yoga Sequencing, our mission is to make continuing education in sequencing fun, playful, and curiosity-driven - while equipping you with the tools to be creative, confident, and masterful in your teaching.

Meet Annelize

I’m Annelize Ferreira, co-founder of The School of Yoga Sequencing and Consultant Physiotherapist for the Institute of Yoga Sports Science®. I have a Masters in Musculoskeletal Medicine and extensive experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, strength and conditioning rehabilitation, biomechanics, and recently somatic energy medicine.  
My clinical expertise is in the field of complex musculoskeletal cases which allows me to facilitate mind-body-spirit connection. I’m also an Advanced Yoga Sports Coach™ and a senior member of the YSS Academic Faculty. 
As a physiotherapist with a thriving clinical practice, my clients are your yoga students. I value movement practices where I know my clients will be structurally safe, stable, and nurtured based on an understanding of how the nervous system works. Our courses takes you through all these steps and so much more!
